Counter Strike New Revealed
After weeks of rumors Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's an update for CS:GO that will put the game on the Source 2 engine and make some significant visual changes.
It also introduces responsive smoke grenades as well as sub-tick updates for servers. It's got plenty of armchair gamers going crazy but it is an enormous upgrade for regular players.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely alter the way smokes are used in the game. The changes are being described as responsive smokes and are a huge game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and move around different objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting in the game, which makes their appearance more appealing and realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be able to interact with events in the game, which will open up new tactical opportunities. For instance, bullets can cause smoke to temporarily make clear sightlines, while explosions from hex grenades will disperse smoke occlusion.
Smokes will be more dynamic in the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed-shaped object that had a limited ability to move and blocking. The new smokes will fill the space they are located and hinder a player's vision when they are present. This is a major improvement that will make the game more dynamic and give both sides the same visibility.
In addition smokes will also react to the surroundings, weaponry, and lighting in the world. This will make smoke more realistic and give players different ways to use it to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is particularly useful during the chaotic matches that are expected to occur on every map.
case opening are no longer a one-way. This was a major issue in CSGO, since it allowed players to see the position of their opponents behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional who claims that the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.

Other minor improvements include adjusting smoke particles vertically to decrease the visibility of edges, and updating the spectator's smoke overlays to ensure that they correspond to their camera's position. The expiration time of smokes has been updated to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen.
Loadouts
The CS:GO players are now able to alter their weapon selection prior to the start of every match. The new loadout system allows players to choose the weapon that best fit their style of play and team's strategy. The new system adds depth to the game because players must balance both the power of their weapons and their utility.
The CS: GO Update includes several other improvements and changes in addition to the brand new loadouts. Most importantly, the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced by a customizable grid that shows all purchase options simultaneously. The grid has been filled with five pistols, five "mid-tier" weapons such as shotguns and submachine guns, and five rifles and carbines.
The new system is easy to use and gives players more control over their weapon choices. It will allow them to select the weapons which best suit their style of play, team tactics and play around with various combinations. They can also compare their loadouts with other players and observe how well they stack up.
Many players have praised the increased flexibility, while some have criticized it for straying from the fundamental premise of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern about how it could affect agents' skins and loadouts specific to the map based upon visibility.
However, despite these criticisms However, it is important to note that the new loadout system is still in its infancy, and will undergo more extensive testing over the next few months. It is possible that some of these issues will be addressed in future updates, therefore it is important to stay tuned for more details.
Workshop Tools are also included in the update, and can be enabled via the settings menu. This allows community contributors to design weapons finishes and stickers, as well as maps. In addition, the update will now live ban players who violate the VAC rules during matches.
The latest CS GO update is scheduled to be released in the middle of summer. Players can check out the complete list of new features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site.
Sub-Tick Updates
The world of Counter-Strike is constantly updated by the server in discrete time increments called ticks. The smallest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player can affect the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working to make sure that CS: GO feels fluid and responsive. A new video highlights one of the game's most significant under-the-hood enhancements, also known as sub-tick updates.
Instead of a 64-tick-update every millisecond CS:GO can now use sub-ticks, or as Valve calls them, "micro ticks", to communicate with the servers. The client will take note of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will send the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment when you shot and jumped, swung and other inputs.
While a one-minute video is not enough to cover everything the video explains that each piece of information sent by a client has an associated timestamp, and that the server will gather all the information from all players in chronological order before sending it back. According to the video the CS: GO server will be able to send up to twice as much data as a 64-tick servers.
This means that even if the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz it will still be able to handle your commands instantly. Micro-tick updates also decrease input lag, making sure that the server reacts to your actions without glitches or delays.
This is clearly only the beginning of the technological enhancements Valve is making to the game. Valve uses particles and smoke that are dynamic to improve the way smoke interacts with its environment. It's also upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to make changes to all CS Cosmetics and weapons.
Maps
The upcoming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game alongside some old favorites that are getting facelifts. These updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of maps include touchstone and upgrade maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, while others have been fully renovated or redesigned using the new Source 2 tools.
Among these, Overpass was redesigned to make use of the engine's new unified lighting system. The map's eerie underpass has been flooded with daylight, making the space more spacious and less congested. Additionally smoke grenades now expand dynamically to fill spaces and interact with the new light.
Italy is a second map that has been overhauled. Its lighting, texture and structure have all been greatly improved. The new version is more balanced than the previous version, which was heavily CT oriented. In the future fans can anticipate seeing classics like Aztec and Militia redesigned.
These maps won't be added to the competitive map pool, even though they are still playable. The only exception is Train, which has been pulled out of Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet announced if the other maps that were taken will be returned to the pool.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. The newspaper's latest update has been criticized as controversial. The news organization has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions in Ukraine, and the map is based from the war-torn city of Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna and includes a number references to the conflict.
The developer will release a set Source 2 Tools for map makers in the near future. This will include features like improved lighting and reading of characters, as well as physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also make real-world objects like doors and windows, simpler to create. The update is set to be released sometime in the summer.
